R-City*, another of our targeted cities for GC, is a district as well as a city. Within the R-City district, 130,00 people are dispersed throughout 624 villages and 4 cities. R-City is the largest of the four with a population of 50,000. It is located in the Northern State of Punjab and is about 30km from the city of Chandigarh. It rests in the Himanchal Mountains. The Satluj River runs through it providing the locals with fresh fish and clean, cool, mountain water. It is known for being one of the oldest cities in Punjab and is marked as a historical area for the region.
We are excited to see what will happen in the future in R-City! Just recently a group from the States has chosen to focus on this area. We cannot wait to see what great things will come to the people of R-City because of this new partnership!!
