Always Come Prepared

It is expected, that if you are a foreigner visiting an Indian fellowship, you will be responsible to either pray, sing a song in front of the gathering, or possibly provide the morning message.  We've worked on this for at least 2 years now, and it is possible for us to attend Sonny's fellowship without doing as much as was expected in the past.  Apparently it looks "wrong" if the foreigner is not asked to speak.  Trust us people!  NO WRONG on our side!!! 

Today, as a formality, JP attended a board meeting with Sonny* and the rest of his network to sign papers for their NGO.  JP expected to go, show his face, say hello, and then observe the board meeting.  He is not on the board so figured he would only be a face in the crowd.  Again, only a formality.  Right?  WRONG!  He was asked to lead a devotion before the meeting began.  As this was more of a business meeting than fellowship gathering, this was the last thing he had expected to do during the 8 hour long meeting.

But just as always, the Spirit was faithful in leading him to a specific passage to share and uplift the brothers.  Lesson learned.  No matter what the "type" of meeting/gathering...always come prepared!
