JD took us on a retreat to the Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks. It was a great time to sit back, relax, enjoy fellowship with our team, and go over a lot of important and useful information to only aid in our success for Him. Oh yes and we also enjoyed DVD Trivial Pursuit and Rock Band to the wee hours of morning. Here are a few pics of the Goings/Mayfields room.
My brother and sister-in-law are due with their first baby on March 16. They made sure to plan their shower around the time we would be back. It was so meaningful to me and I felt so special getting to sit right next to Kara and baby Ella during this event. I also learned lots of useful information like..."Hey those aren't socks? Those go on the hands huh??" The ladies from choir and our ABF did a fantastic job planning the shower. We all got to decorate a scrapbook page for Kara. The food was delicious and we had lots of laughs!
Although the snow and ice made it a challenge for people to get out to the conference, we definitely enjoyed seeing some white stuff! We also had the Lindsay Family Christmas on our first Saturday night back. Mom left the Christmas trees up and cooked a yummy dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes, and cherry pie! It was great!!!
Again, we had a wonderful time and it was just what we needed. But as the 2 weeks came to an end, we were ready to head back to India. America will always be our homeland, but at this time, India is our home!
