Women's Celebration: Meet the Team

9 women came from Springfield February 19-27; 4 from MOPs and 5 from WBB.  They came to host our Women's Celebration Parties in the complex clubhouse.  The week exceeded their expectations and they exceeded ours!  Take a moment to get to know each and everyone of these precious ladies, how they served, and why each are special to us!

Heather

Her second journey to India and it felt like family coming to visit!!  She headed up all the craft ideas for the trip, organized everything, and left several of her personal supplies for me to use!  She served as craft table facilitator, led discussions, and made many friends.  Her creativity and organizational skills (chronological scrapbooker and all) were vital to the team!  And after returning home, she was still organizing more things to send over for future parties.

Nicole

Her first journey anywhere leaving husband and four kids back home!  She was one of our craft facilitators and made a lot of our yummy snacks each day.  Her smile, love, compassion, and passion were encouraging and uplifted the team in perfect moments when we needed it most!  Plus her love was felt 2 weeks later when we received a bag full of our favorites!

 

Kaila

Traveling to India, just one of her many journeys this past year, was like coming home.  She had lived here before and was touched to be able to return.  She was the team-leader American side and did an amazing job coordinating, leading, and taking care of our MANY lists of needs for the trip.  Her servant's heart was touching as she took all of our pictures, led in conversations with our Indian friends, and was always ready to lead us in UTMOST conversations!

 

Nancy

As seen in the picture, Nancy was the loving, hugging friend that everyone needed when times got extended and feet were tired!  She had served on other WBB women's trips before and so it was all a piece of cake for her.  She served as co-leader of the hospitality team and was always ready to meet and greet everyone with a warm smile and caring touch!  She also took Sookie for walks and loved on Sawyer.  Thanks for being "Grandma" when Grandma B couldn't be with us!! 

Dixie

This was her 2nd trip to India and we were excited to see that she had come again!  It was difficult to find a picture of Dixie posing for the camera because of her servant's heart and hard work all week long!  On the first day, she assisted me in serving beverages and snacks to the party attendees.  But mid way through the 1st party, she had completely taken over and was a pro!  And when no one wanted anything else, you could find her at the children's table, interacting with the kids.

Christie

Leader of MOPs in Springfield, she never imagined she would be in India.  But despite family and comfort, she listened and followed!  She served as craft table facilitator, facilitated discussions with our Indian friends, and made several friendships.  Her heart was greatly impacted throughout the week and her passion for India was compelling!  Through tears, smiles, and hugs, she made a huge impact!!

Leslie

This was just one of several WBB trips that she had taken!  Her faith and understanding of how everything would work out was a necessity for our team, especially me.  She just did whatever needed to be done: serve, talk, laugh, run to the house to get more stuff, assist, and the list goes on and on!  Her commitments in life amazed one in particular and her calm, patient spirit led our team when 9 other women were buzzing!

Ginny

The most respected of our team among Indians, she IS the perfect example of how there are no excuses when considering a trip to India!!  She was co-leader in the hospitality team and did a great job at keeping track of gift raffles, attendance, and making new guests feel welcome.  She especially touched the heart of one of our dear friends, Di, which in return touched our hearts!!

 

Mollie

Our example in life of ultimate healing!!  She served as craft table facilitator and was ready to jump in whenever someone needed help.  She talked with many and her story of healing impacted 7 people who had the opportunity to hear.  Her gentle nature and kind spirit made a difference everywhere she went and we were blessed to have her in our home!!  (And even after returning home, she was still thinking of others.  She sent us a bag of goodies!!)
