We got our absentee ballots yesterday and were really excited. We weren't sure if they would make it in time, but all things work together. I sat on the bed and voted thinking what an honor it is to vote for our wonderful country no matter how far away we may be. I am so thankful for the men and women who worked so hard to give us these rights.
I know our country is in a state of confusion, crisis, and doubt. But dear friends let me just say, that even with the unknowns of the economy and elections, America is truly a great country founded upon HIS morals, organizational methods, and freedom. It only takes an hour in a 3rd world country to see how blessed we are even in the little things.
Let me just encourage you to thank the Lord for our country today, despite the circumstances. Let us continue to pray for our nation and, at the same time, claim a statement made in Daniel 4:17 by a pagan King "...to the intent that the living may know that the most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomsoever He will, and sets up over it the basest of men." Pray, vote how HE guides you, and give it to Him. No matter the outcome, we are to only love, serve, and let our actions show that despite the president, the most High rules in all the kingdoms of men!
