TKs' Talk: Friendly Conversations

Todd, Tim, Kristy, Katelyn.  The "TKs".  Our four Global Connection interns who arrived at the beginning of June.
We were thankful for His provision in guiding us to the perfect guesthouse!


They have adjusted very well and are already doing a phenomenal job!  In one week's time, they have rekindled 2 friendships from last year: Neill and Manny.  Friendly conversations as if no time has gone by!

Over coffee/fruity-ice cream drinks, they played games with Manny while attracting the attention of three other guys.  By the end of their time, numbers were exchanged with the hopes of meeting together with new friends for more friendly conversations.


10 hours on a Saturday were devoted to just spending time with Neill and Manny.  Manny walked an hour just to get there!  Neill made lunch and taught the basics of the simple Indian dish.  Games and friendly conversations filled the afternoon as well as "inspirational" songs sung with guitar.  Manny and Neill couldn't stop singing them as the day progressed.  "Sanctuary touched my heart!"  TKs then made a very American dinner: Spaghetti!
